FBF Incident

All, A post-race altercation took place at last night's Cadence Tuesday Night Race Series event. Chief Referee Maurice Charles has filed an incident report and the report was sent to Shawn Farrell, Technical Director for USA Cycling. USA Cycling will now begin an investigation of the incident and will determine what course of action will be taken. We will enforce any decision USA Cycling hands down. Bicycle Races On Governors Island

The Kissena Cycling Club is pleased to announce two exciting new races on Governors Island. The Governors Island Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, July 12, and is open to Pro/1-2-3 riders only. The Tour of Governors Island will take place on Sunday, August 9, and is open to Category 3-4 riders. Governors Island, in the heart of New York Harbor, is only 800 yards from Lower Manhattan, and even closer to Brooklyn. The five minute ferry from lower Manhattan to Governors Island is FREE! Governors Island is an amazing race venue and the Park Officials are very supportive of our races. Please support these events so we can continue to have even more races on the island! Women's Field at FBF

Charlie and I have agreed to a trial run for a women's race at Floyd this coming Tuesday the 16th. The race will start at 6:15pm and go 7 laps (long enough for upgrade points); reg will begin at 5:45 as usual. Please spread the word as much as you can this weekend and on Monday as well. If things go well than we will work on having another race sometime during the season, with the ultimate goal of having a permanent series spot for the women. Have a good weekend everyone!!
