Kissena Cycling Club

This Saturday is the Catch Kissena Road Race in Prospect Park.  This race is serving as the Kissena Cycling Club Road Championship.  All members of the Kissena Cycling Club (Category 1-4 riders only) will start first followed by the Pro/1-2-3 field.  Everybody races for the same prize list so the Pro/1-2-3 field must catch the Kissena riders in order to place.  This is the fourth year will be holding this race.  The first two years the Kissena riders were caught.  Last year the Kissena riders stayed away.  This is a fun race and forces everybody to start racing from the gun - much more exciting than an average Prospect Park race.

The time gap from the Kissena group to the Pro/1-2-3 field will be based on the number of Kissena riders competing.  The time gap will be as follows:

10-19 Kissena riders = 3:30
20-24 Kissena riders = 3:00
25-29 Kissena riders = 2:45
30+ Kissena riders = 2:30

Again, only Kissena Cat 1-4 riders can compete.  There is a separate Category 5 race for Kissena Cat 5 members.
